Kontravoid, LLORA, Clock Serum, Gunboy

Thursday October 16th

Modern touchstones could parallel the likes of John Maus or Trust, but Kontravoid’s vision is a much more twisted one, embracing goth influences and yielding a monstrous result that is harder to define. Despite its sonic vampiricism, Kontravoid’s music leaves plenty to dance and lose your mind to, but the imagination here goes way beyond these activities exclusively. Messer Chups, Crimson Ghosts

Sunday November 2nd

While Messer Chups’ sound is hard to neatly categorize, it is embraced by fans of rockabilly, horror punk, vintage surf records, Italian slasher films, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Pulp Fiction, lounge music, the theremin, The Cramps, and the theme song from The Munsters. Their catchy music combines surf, vintage Russian melodies, rare film samples from the 50s and 60s, scratchy historical recordings, and lounge loops. Live, they explode with garage-punk intensity, all played against a video-collage backdrop of mid-century trashy cult and horror movie clips featuring Russ Meyer and Ed Wood, and superstars like Vampira and Bela Lugosi in a zombie mash-up. Pissing Razors, Single Bullet Theory, Thy Will Be Done

Tuesday November 4th

PISSING RAZORS is an American punk/groove-based heavy metal band formed in 1994 in El Paso, Texas by founding member and tenured drummer Eddy Garcia with guitarist Mat Lynch whose sole purpose was to incite a musical tone loud and aggressive in ferocity and heavy in punk and metal elements. From the beginning, the purpose was to create music listeners could 'groove' to and connect with that was over the top both visually and sonically including live performances ripe with actual fire, blood and high volume. Drawing inspiration from the aggressive, vehement sounds of black metal and the classic melodies of power metal, the Philly-based quartet Single Bullet Theory formed in 2000 from the ashes of Pissing Razors, Seven Witches, and Shadowdance. Matt Difabio (vocals, guitar), Billy Mez (bass), and Jay Horvath (drums) displayed a strong D.I.Y. ethic from the start, issuing a self-released EP in 2000 and financing the resulting tour themselves. Vitriol, Unmerciful, Weeping

Saturday November 22nd

For Portland, Oregon's VITRIOL, nothing comes easy. Nothing. The title of their second Century Media album, ‘Suffer & Become,’ says it all. "The title really sums it up," says guitarist and vocalist Kyle Rasmussen. "I pushed things to a point while making this album where it almost became untenable. Things that were supposed to be done in weeks took months. It wasn't easy, but I think it was suffering well spent." TICKETS: https://link.dice.fm/wbbe5a02b671
